Skills Bootcamps in Lancashire

Skills For Life - Skills Bootcamps logoSkills Bootcamps are intensive and flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector specific skills and fast track to an interview with a local employer.

Designed with employers, participants will gain the in-demand skills to move into or progress in their chosen sector. Participants will be offered a GUARANTEED job interview upon completion.

Fully-funded for Individuals

Skills Bootcamps are fully-funded by the Department for Education for individuals.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to join a Skills Bootcamp in Lancashire if you:

  • Are aged 19 or over
  • Live in Lancashire, including Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool*
  • Have lived in the UK for 3 or more years, or you are a qualifying refugee
  • Can commit the time to complete, and have a real desire to increase your earnings

For Employers

Ease your recruitment challenges by employing a Skills Bootcamp graduate.  Graduates are self-motivated, driven and have recently acquired skills to apply in your business or organisation.  For more information, please contact us and we will help match you to a suitable Skills Bootcamp training partner.

Other ways to boost your skills

Any adult can also study for their English and/or maths GCSE or a Functional Skills qualification for free if they don’t already have them. And adults with no or low digital skills can take Essential Digital Skills qualifications for free. Your employees can find a maths, English or digital skills course in your local area through the National Careers Service website: nationalcareers.service.gov.uk

The Skills Toolkit is also available as a resource to share with your staff. The Skills Toolkit is an online platform giving access to free, high quality digital, numeracy and employability courses to help people build up their skills, progress in work and boost job prospects.
