Chief Executive & Principal, Myerscough College
Alison Robinson took over as Chief Executive and Principal of Myerscough College in 2018 building on 30 years’ service in post 16 education in Lancashire.
Myerscough College is a specialist land based, science, engineering and sports college that sits in the top 10% of colleges nationally and amongst the top 3 specialist land based colleges for 16-18 year old student achievement. The College is Ofsted graded ‘Good’ and University Centre Myerscough is rated as ‘Gold’ in the Teaching Excellence Framework. The College is the UK’s largest provider of land-based apprenticeship training and delivers training nationally to meet employer needs.
Alison is Vice Chair of The Lancashire Colleges and sits on a number of Boards including Landex (Land Based Colleges Aspiring to Excellence) and Land Based Assessment Limited.
Lancashire born and bred, Alison is passionate about the value of education in opening doors and changing lives no matter what an individual’s background or ability. Alison believes in the importance of a fully inclusive education that supports social mobility and her mission along with the College’s is to ‘Inspire Excellence’.
