Cloud Engineering Skills Bootcamps

The Skills City Consortia, lead by Lancashire’s IN4.0 Group, are offering six Bootcamps in total.

On this course, you will follow the Amazon Web Services re/Start syllabus which includes learning about cloud foundations, networking, python programming, databases, and the AWS services both through theory lessons and lab sessions.

You will also get a chance to take part in two capstone projects to put your skills to the test as well as a commercial project provided by one of our partner organisations.

Course duration – This course is a full time 12week programme.

Course delivery –  This course is delivered fully virtually. However, there will be a possibility going forward for some hybrid learning.

What qualification will I earn? Once you sit and pass your final exam, you will be a
qualified AWS Cloud Practitioner.

This course is designed to equip you with digital skills for data analytics and cloud computing (developing knowledge of data analytics, data mining, data migration, data capture, AI, machine learning, data modelling etc) as well as providing you with the pathway to employability and new job opportunities through personal development and mentoring.

Course duration – 16 Weeks – 20 hours a week

Course delivery –  This course is delivered fully online and is designed to have on average four tutor led hours a week which will be supplemented with flexible self-directed study to complete course work.

Minimum entry requirements: min. of five GCSE grades C – A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths, or Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent). We will also consider learners with relevant skills, interests, work-related experience and those learners who have had a sustained period out of education or whose studies have been significantly disrupted who can demonstrate high motivation and commitment (evidence of motivation, knowledge and commitment in your personal statement).
