Babington are not based in Lancashire but are offering Bootcamp opportunities online across the whole country as part of the DfE Skills Bootcamp programme.

Our Skills Bootcamp in Digital Leadership has been set up to support organisations and individuals who need to upskill their leadership capability; to meet current and future demands around digital communication, literacy, and remote working.

Unity Professional Artist Programme

Lead Gen-carousel-161221-01.jpgThe Skills City Consortia, led by Lancashire’s IN4.0 Group, are offering six Bootcamps in total.

On this course you will follow the Unity Professional Artist course syllabus which includes learning about asset creation and management, UI design and interactivity, the Unity systems, effects, animations and build settings. You will also get a chance to take part in mini projects to put your skills to the test as well as a commercial project provided by one of our partner organisations to work on live projects. This course also gives you career support to prepare you for interview and a tech career after the course in a number of junior tech roles

Course duration – This course is a part-time 12-week programme, with six weeks of taught content and six weeks of focused project completion.

Course delivery – This course is delivered fully virtually, however, there will be a possibility going forward for some hybrid learning.

What qualification will I earn? – With this qualification, you will achieve the Unity Professional Artist qualification once you sit and pass the final exam.

Unity 3D Professional

On this course, you will follow the Unity Professional Programmer course syllabus, which includes learning about player movements, UI, customisations, analytics and remote settings, navigation and animation. All of these skills will be checked in mini projects to put your skills to the test.

You will also work on a live project for your organisation with support and guidance from our technical team and instructors; as part of the project you will also have access to Artists who are studying on our Unity Professional Artist course to support you with your graphical needs.

Course duration: 12 weeks full-time

Games Development

Games Development img.pngThis 12-week course focuses on developing skills and application using the Unity 3D Engine and building an awareness of the Gaming and Esports industry. The programme contains two tracks and will allow learners to progress as either a Unity Associate Artist or a Unity Associate Programmer based on their existing experience, with a certification exam at the end of the bootcamp.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in tournaments in Host’s Esports studio!

Course duration: 12 weeks full-time
