Dr Michele Lawty-Jones
Director of the Lancashire Skills Hub
A Chartered Psychologist, Michele took up the role of Director of the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub in 2015 and is responsible for the development and implementation of the Lancashire Skills and Employment Strategic Framework and Get Lancashire Working, reporting to the Lancashire Combined County Authority.
Previously she headed up the central enterprise and knowledge transfer function at the newly formed University of Cumbria and was Head of Skills and Education at the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), leading on two themes of the Regional Economic Strategy. She was also previously Partnerships Director at Connexions Lancashire.
Michele is passionate about people and social mobility and helping businesses to flourish and grow through inclusive practices.
