Become an Apprenticeship Ambassador

The Lancashire Apprenticeship Ambassador Network is part of a county-wide drive to increase understanding of Apprenticeships and encourage more apprenticeship opportunities.

The role

Apprenticeship Ambassadors – As a current Apprentice or a former Apprentice, the role is to highlight the benefits of taking part in the apprenticeship programme to different people. You will speak about your experience of being an Apprentice and this conversation could be as part of an activity in school or college, or it could be at a youth clubs and careers fairs. You might also speak to meet employers to encourage them to take on Apprentices.

Employer Ambassadors – Are a group of employers, whose main aim is to spearhead the drive to engage new employers to commit to taking on apprenticeships. Lancashire Employer Ambassadors are employers who have previously, or who currently recruit Apprentices and who want to highlight the benefits of using the  apprenticeship programme to upskill their staff to others.  This may include speaking to other employers, promoting events and marketing campaigns, or even to mentor other employers. They may have also been Apprentices themselves. They are passionate about their experiences with Apprentices and are keen to promote the apprenticeship route.

The support you will receive

The Ambassador role is voluntary.  As a member of the Ambassador Network you will join a network of likeminded people. You will have the Ambassador Network team supporting you to undertake your role and they can provide training. The team will also fully support you to decide how you would like to undertake your Ambassador role and arrange your engagement with activities that meet your requirements.
