Nina Dixon

Manager, Lancashire WBL Forum

Nina joined the Lancashire Forum in January 2023 having come from a work-based learning background, as a Senior Manager. Nina has been operationally responsible for Apprenticeships and other technical education across a wide range of sectors.

Nina’s career began working with children, young people, and families and in 2007 progressed into work-based learning as a tutor/assessor. In 2009, Nina was appointed as Operations Manager. Her expertise as an educational leader has enabled her to influence key aspects of learning and development, including for Safeguarding, for which she has held the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead for the last 3 years.

As Forum Manager, Nina is responsible for developing strategic relationships and positive collaboration with partners, to support the growth of high quality technical, professional, and vocational education and training within communities of Lancashire.

The Lancashire Forum delivers on behalf of the DfE the ‘ASK’ Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge programme in Lancashire and Cumbria, is responsible for the Management of the Lancashire Levy Transfer Network, supports the Lancashire Skills Pledge ( Take on an apprentice and Apprenticeship Ambassador) manages the Lancashire Apprentice Ambassador Network and delivers projects in partnership with the Careers Hub and key Lancashire stakeholders.

Nina is a board member of the Northern Skills Network which strives to contribute to the improvement of education & Skills across the North of England through advocacy, engagement and action.
